和歌は、完成された文章である。
The waka is a finished sentence.
俳句は、完成された文章ではない。相手（鑑賞する人）の存在が不可欠である。句の評価（意味）は相手に委ねられる。
The haiku is not a finished sentence. The existence of the partner (person appreciating it) is indispensable. The evaluation (meaning) of the phrase is entrusted to a partner.
俳句の季語につていては、日本国の風土を体験しないと、句の意味を理解することができない。
When you do not experience climate of Japan when connections are in the season word of the haiku, you cannot understand the meaning of the phrase.
